Claudia Ciesla Is Ready Now To Make Spicy Films

Everyone following the third season of Bigg Boss must remember the German model and actress Claudia Ciesla, who added the much needed spice to the show in Colors channel. The hot actress is now going to debut in Kannada films with the movie Private Number. Claudia has already made her debut in the Hindi movie 'Karma'.

Claudia is now staying at Bangalore to shoot for her first Kannada movie. The shooting is going on at Innovative Film City near Bidadi here, and the lady is enjoying every bit of acting in the film.

According to Claudia, she has taken acting very seriously. She came to know that the 100 films are produced every year in the Kannada film industry so she is very happy to be a part of it. She wants to work very sincerely in the industry as she loved the country, its culture, history and the people.

Miss Claudia is hoping to make her career in the Kannada industry with more remarkable roles.

Private Number is a thriller and is about the changes in one of the protagonists' life after receiving a call from a private number.

Claudia will be seen as the best friend of the heroine. In real life, Claudia has made director Anand Kumar's wife her best friend in Bangalore.

Currently, the songs of the films are being shot in Bangaore. Now, the 'Malay banthu malay mellane' number is being picturised on hero Preethan and the heroine Niharika, the dance of which is directed by Lakshmi Ayyar. Ramnarayan has penned the lyrics of the song.

Another song 'Johnny Walker sightnalli bindaas moodinalli silence beda', has already been shot with the actors Sharan, Chidanand, and Shreelakshmi. It was shot at a club on Residency Road.

Claudia said that her dream role will be acting with Aamir. She also wants to work with Salman Khan. She got acting tips from Sunil Shetty and Akshay Kumar, when they came to the Bigg Boss house during her stay there. So, she wishes to be paired with them too.

Mallika Sherawat's Operation Sting Got Successful

Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat was on cloud nine when she met her favourite singer Sting at a concert in Los Angeles.

"Sting sang my favourite song 'Desert Rose' as an encore, tweeps! My friend Charlie introduced me to him, so I thanked him in person. Sting is one of the greats, I do declare, " Mallika wrote on her Twitter page Friday.

Not just that, at the post show party, Mallika mingled with Hollywood celebrities like Robert Downey, Pierce Brosnan and model Kirsty Hume.

Kareena Kapoor Is Going To Play The Sex Worker In Heera Mandi

Kareena Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali will finally be working together on Sanjay's next film after Guzaarish. The two had been hoping to work together for a long time but their plans fell through every time. Once Kareena returns from shooting for Agent Vinod in Morocco, the two will meet and finalise their project together.

Kareena and Sanjay were supposed to work on a film on Mahatma Gandhi's son after Devdas, but circumstances forced Sanjay to shelve the film.

They then planned Bajirao Mastain with Salman Khan, but that had to be scrapped after Kareena and Salman's Kyon Ki flopped.

Then Sanjay got busy with Black and Kareena could not be a part of it as her sister Karisma and Black's male lead Amitabh Bachchan's son Abhishek had just broken their engagement. But now, it seems the two will finally get together.

Priyanka Chopra Will Join Kareena Kapoor In Race 2

If the buzz in the industry is to be believed, then Kareena Kapoor will be joined by none other than Priyanka Chopra in Race 2.

Priyanka is apparently very excited about being a part of the thriller and is busy working out her dates. Priyanka is currently busy with Saat Khoon Maaf, after which she will shoot for Don 2 and then for Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif and Bipasha Basu, the female leads in Race, will not be reprising their roles in the sequel.

Aamir Khan Turned Down KBC 4 & Big B Accepted It

Allright! He may have said in an interview to a news channel that he was never offered 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 4' in the first place, but it's no secret that Sony Entertainment Television and BIG Synergy were keen on working with Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan.

A prominent Mumbai tabloid had first reported on Aamir Khan being offered the show. Producer Siddhart Basu was quoted saying that Sony Pictures, which owns the format, might have had an initial discussion with Aamir.

The actor's spokesperson too had neither confirmed nor denied the story. In another report, Basu claimed that Aamir is one individual who he would like to work with.

Just few weeks back, the buzz in the air was that it will be Aamir who will make his TV debut as the host of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 4'.

Rumour has it that a popular news channel was even going to go ahead and break this news. However, everyone was shocked when it was learnt that it won't be Aamir but Amitabh Bachchan who will host the show. We were the first to report this story.

Well, it just wasn't the public, but we too were taken by surprise by this development. Earlier, we'd broken the news of Khan being offered two projects – KBC 4 and orginal concept. However, it was KBC that he was expected to sign. So what went wrong then?

A industry insider says, “Look while there was no formal offer, top officials from Sony did meet the actor. As always, Aamir takes his own time to respond.

Unfortunately, for Sony, Aamir turned it down. He felt that doing TV is an enormous task. Aamir was simply of the view that he's not ready to take up such big responsibility as yet. Besides, he didn't have the time as he'll be busy, looking after his home productions.”

Second choice simply doesn't exist in the Bollywood superstar's lexicon. After reading all about, Khan, why did Amitabh Bachchan accept the show then?

“If it's KBC and Big B, there's simply no question of a second choice. Let's not forget that it's Bachchan who had propelled the show both in season one and two. Besides, I don't think Mr. Bachchan has any airs. Sony is confident that with Bachchan back as host, KBC will get the same numbers as it did for Star, ” added the source.

Well, speculations, comparison, and theories around KBC won't end. Now that Bachchan is back at the helm, the viewers will simply say, “Let's play' Kaun Banega Crorepati'!

Mallika Sherawat With Salma Hayek In The Hollywood Film

It has been a long time since Mallika Sherawat was seen in any of the Bollywood flicks. She was missing from the industry as the sexy lady was busy with her ambitious Hollywood projects. Bollywood filmmakers might have stopped offering her roles, but the doors of Hollywood have now opened for her.

Miss Sherawat's first overseas project The Myth with Jackie Chan, has inspired her to take up the route to Hollywood. She has already acted in Hollywood movies like Hisss and Love Barack. Now, Mallika is going share screen space with the Hollywood actress Salma Hayek. In fact, the two ladies have reportedly bonded very well.

During the Cannes film festival, Mallika met Salma Hayek, who expressed her interest to work together in future.

According to the sources, “Mallika is soon going to appear in a Hollywood project with Salma Hayek. They got friendly during the Cannes festival and discussed a lot about cinema. Mallika's Hiss act has impressed Salma and she praised the lady greatly.”

The source added, “They remained constantly in touch even after returning to the US. They have also met for dinner since then.”

Mallika and Salma starrer film is supposed to be a women-centric one and Sherawat will be seen in the central character.

The source further informed, “The much talked about movie's story revolves around the abuse on women, which exists all over the world. Mallika loved the storyline and has shown interest to be a part of it.”

Salman Khan Is Going To Be Bodyguard of Deepika Padukone

If all goes well, then Salman Khan may turn out to be the bodyguard of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone!

Don't get confused, he is very much into acting and it will be for the sake of a film only. There is a speculation that the Hindi remake of the South Indian director Siddique's Malayalam film Bodyguard, will be cast will Deepika Padukone opposite the Wanted star Salman Khan.

The Malayalm version of the film was released in March. The leading South Indian director Siddique wrote and directed the film himself.

The story of the film deals with a young man, who gets attracted to people, with heroic qualities and follows them like a bodyguard. But, the interesting twist comes when he is hired to accompany a businessman's gorgeous daughter to college as a real bodyguard.

In the Malayalam version of Bodyguard, South Indian actors Dileep and Nayantara were in the lead roles. Currently, the director is busy with the Tamil version of the film, which stars Asin and the South superstar Vijay.

Many other filmmakers approached Siddique but only Atul Agnihotri managed to get the rights for the Hindi version of the film. Siddique will take up the role of the director and writer in the Hindi version after completing the Tamil one.

Salman Khan has confirmed playing the lead role but Deepika is not sure yet. Atul informed that they were still working on the script. He added, “We are still completing other important tasks before we decide on signing the actors.”

Atul said that the shooting of the film will commence on December 6 in Ranikhet.

Shahid and Sonam Turned Into Adult Stars Overnight With Mausam

After playing the giddyheaded starry-eyed young lover-girl in all her films so far including the about-to-be-released I Hate Luv Storys, Sonam Kapoor in Mausam is all set to play a girl who evolves into a woman in the course of the film.

Her clothes which are always a source of powerful on-screen personality-transference for her have been worked on at great lengths by designer Anamika Khanna.

And the result, says a member of the crew, is no less than devastating.

Apparently Sonam was initially reluctant to get into the mature mould.

“She had reservations about being bracketed in the maturer mould so early in her career. In all her films so far from Saawariya to Thank You Sonam has played girls her own age and dressed accordingly, in what she's comfortable with. The Western clothes that 'd transform her into a chic Delhi socialite in Aisha are as much a part of her personality as the salwar-kameez that she wore in Delhi 6.”

Apparently designer Anamika Khanna who has worked earlier with Sonam in Delhi 6 has been poring over the designs with Sonam trying to figure out what clothes she's most comfortable in.

Shahid who needed to make a sartorial changeover to play the mature mellow lover in the later part of the film, has also been heard joking about how Mausam has turned him and Sonam into overnight adult stars.

Says the Mausam producer Sheetal Talwar, “Shahid has sported the mature mellow look in Jab We Met. But for Sonam the transformation from girl to woman in Mausam is a challenge. Before she left for Scotland Sonam wanted to be completely comfortable in her new avatar.”

Saif Ali Don't Want Kareena Kapoor to Miss Her Sister Karisma Kapoor's Birthday

Frantic efforts are on to accommodate Karisma Kapoor’s birthday into her sister Kareena’s choc-a-clock schedule. But it seems unlikely that the busy actress would be able to join her Didi for her birthday on June 25.

Ironically it is Saif who seems more concerned about missing Karisma’s birthday.

Says a source, “Saif gets along like a house on fire with Karisma and her husband Sanjay. The two guys often share a lot of outdoor fun activities together. Saif doesn’t want that he and Kareena should miss her sister’s birthday this year. ”

Saif’s concern and guilt for the sisters not being together on that very special day is heightened by the fact that Kareena would be shooting for his film Agent Vinod in Morocco on Karisma’s birthday.

Kareena rules out that possibility of Karisma flying down to Morocco “How can my sister fly down to Morocco? No, she’ll be in Mumbai with her baby. She has just had a baby boy who’s not even four months old. She can’t leave the city. ”

Interestingly Kareena seems to handle her absence from this important day in her sister with much pragmatism and common sense. “How can I be in Mumbai? I’ll be shooting in Tangiers in Morocco on my sister’s birthday. Work always comes first in our family. So there would be no birthday plans with my sister this year. ”

The over-worked sister says she won’t even have time to buy anything for Karisma this year. “There’s no time to breathe. Forget buying anything. I don’t know whether I’m coming or going, ”sighs Kareena.

Kareena has never missed any of her sister’s birthday. In recent years Kareena had quite often gone to join Karisma in Delhi when the elder sister was staying in the Capital with her husband.

This time Kareena is trying to focus on Saif’s project rather than on Karisma’s birthday. “ I looooove the title Agent Vinod. It’s the coolest. We’ve already started shooting for it. We leave for Tangiers in Morocco on 22 June for twenty days. ”

Imran Khan Proposed Juhi Chawla?

Three film-old Imran Khan says he had an eternal crush on Juhi Chawla and that he would love to work in a film like "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak", which was his uncle Aamir Khan's debut vehicle.

"While growing I had a huge crush on Juhi Chawla. I loved her in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'. I actually proposed to her as a child, " Imran told reporters at the Landmark book store at Infinity Mall. He was here to unveil a special two-book collection of Mills & Boon series based on his forthcoming movie "I Hate Luv Storys".

"I would love to act in a film made similar to 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak', " he added.

The actor, who plays a non-romantic guy in "I Hate Luv Storys", insists he's very old fashioned and traditional when it comes to love in real life.

"I am a very old fashioned and traditional guy when it comes to love. The proof of this is I have been with the same girl for the last eight years, " said Imran, who is engaged to Avantika Malik.

Asked what qualities he looks for in a girl, he said, "Apart from physical attractiveness, I like if the girl is funny and cracks jokes, however, at the same time someone with whom I can also have an intellectual conversation. A lot of girls say they like funny guys. This is true for guys also as they like girls with good sense of humour."

Kareena Kapoor Don't Have Time For Her Sister Karishma Kapoor

Flies to Morocco almost as soon as she lands in Mumbai from Hyderabad, has asked mom, sis and niece to meet her at airport

Kareena Kapoor cannot take time out for sister Karisma Kapoor's birthday (on June 25). In fact, she is so busy that her mother Babita is packing her bags for an overseas schedule ahead of the actress' return to Mumbai.

Says Kareena, "I am shooting in Hyderabad till June 23. I land in Mumbai at 9 pm and from the domestic airport, go to the international terminal.

I board a flight to Marrakech, Morocco for Saif's Agent Vinod in a couple of hours after that. It's so hectic that I won't be able to go home and pack. In fact, I have told mom to pack my stuff and meet me at the airport."

The actress says she's sad, as it is one of those rare occasions that she will miss sis Karisma's birthday as well.

"I have asked Lolo and Samaira to come to the airport for half an hour so we can sit and chat in the car. I don't know if Samaira can come so late at night but I'd love to have her come. I am feeling terrible that I won't see her for more than a month."

She adds. "I told Lolo to pick up a gift for herself and that I'd pick up the tab later. There's just no time for anything. I am shooting double shifts in Hyderabad -- Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 3 in the day and three cell phone ads at night. After the schedule of Agent Vinod in Morocco, I join SRK's Ra.One unit in London. I will return to India only in July-end."

There's no respite for Kareena till year-end. "I have three films to complete -- Golmaal 3, Ra.One and Agent Vinod. Then Madhur's (Bhandarkar) film starts in December. Then I am endorsing 11 brands and have performed at every award show this year.

In September and October, I get busy with the promotion of Golmaal 3 and Karan's (Johar) Stepmom. In fact, I have requested Shah Rukh to keep a schedule of Ra.One in Mumbai so I can be there to promote Golmaal 3. He has agreed."

In talks
There's a buzz that Kareena has signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heera Mandi. Says a source close to the actress, "They're in talks. Nothing's official as of now. Bebo and Sanjay have been keen to work with each other for three years now.

There's no script locked in as of now. Sanjay has offered her a couple of scripts including Heera Mandi. Once, she's done with her overseas schedules, she will meet him and discuss which script to sign. They will definitely work together next year.".

Movie Review Of "Raajneeti"

It is said that the epic saga of Mahabharata contains all the stories that exist in this world, be it lies, deceit, lust for power, revenge. In short all those that can make a solid impact.

Prakash Jha taking a cue from this has set his big canvass film Rajneeti against an Indian political backdrop. But then at the same time he has merged dollops of The Godfatherwithin it. Nonetheless, the end product makes a compelling watch.

Cousins Veerendra Pratap Singh (Manoj Bajpayee) and Prithvi Pratap Singh (Arjun Rampal) are heirs of a powerful political party.

But when Prithvi is appointed to take the lead, an angry Veerendra teams up with the backward class leader Sooraj (Ajay Devgan) to plot against Prithvi and evict him from the party. Prithvi’s younger brother Samar (Ranbir Kapoor) who is studying abroad and has no political aspirations gets sucked into the political rivalry between the families.

Under the mentoring of senior party and family member Brij Gopal (Nana Patekar), Samar takes charge of the conniving affairs of state to start their own political party, gather funds and get Prithvi contest against Veerendra. What unfolds next as the battle shifts ground to the elections forms the rest of the film.*

Like mentioned above, as the film mixes in elements from the Mahabharat, Veerendra’s character is a modern day Duryodhan where as Sooraj is Karan, a valiant soldier but on the wrong side.

Brij Gopal played by Nana Patekar is like Krishna, the passive participant of the war who takes Ranbir Kapoor’s Arjun like character to victory with his guidance.

The film is a valiant effort by the master story teller, the multi-time National Award winner filmmaker, Prakash Jha who is at his home ground while making films of political drama genre.

Here he is as ably aided by script writer Anjum Rajabali weaving just the right story and screenplay packing in all the treachery and deceit involved with Indian politics.

What makes Rajneeti an engaging watch is also the fact that the makers have succeeded in narrating the story like a thriller format.

Jha doesn’t waste time in showing lip synced songs and incorporates them well in the narrative playing them in the background. Camerawork by Sachin Kumar Krishnan is simply superb.

The way he has captured those vast mass shots deserves a bow. Although the running time of the film is close to three hours, it doesn’t matter much while watching the film and the credit for it goes to the editor Santosh Mandal. The sound design carries a good impact as well.

Absolutely brilliant performances by every single actor of the mammoth cast, also including those with smaller parts.

As expected Naseeruddin Shah, Nana Patekar and Ajay Devgan are at their best. Arjun and Ranbir manage to match up to them as well and deliver a power packed punch. Katrina impresses with her uninhibited act.

Sara Thompson as Ranbir’s foreigner girlfriend also leaves an impact in her relatively smaller part. But a performance that may win some awards for sure has been delivered by Manoj Bajpai.

He is menacingly good. Shruti Seth, Vinay Apte, Kiran Karmarkar, Chetan Pandit and Nikhila Trikha lend able support.

Rajneeti is an important film in today’s times. It is not to be missed by connoisseurs of good cinemas well as those who forever complain that Hindi cinema offers nothing different.

Movie Review Of "The Camp"

The film is an experience of a group of kids along with their camp instructor at a site, far away from the city. The film begins with these kids and the instructor going camp hopping and playing around, having fun when they get an unfortunate surprise.

The film is a collection of events experienced by the kids and the instructor along with two goons who are trying to kidnap a child from the group.

The goons are shown as dangerous but silly. After a few attempts, they finally succeed in kidnapping the child which results in an attempt to rescue the kid. Somehow the goon comedy reminds us of the goon duo in the famous series ‘Home Alone’.

The film starts with a good story line with the instructors teaching the kids rock climbing, trekking, tying knots etc. The activities of the goons succeed in tickling our funny bones. But slowly the story becomes monotonous and predictable.

Some of the scenes in the film do not make sense at all and seem to be forced. Sonali, being a camp instructor, was expected to look a little more fitter, but acting comes naturally to her. The kids have also done a fair job.

The music of the film is decent but one might just lose track, once out of the theater. However, the peppy song by Shaan proves to be an exception. The background score of the film lacks originality too!

All in all it is an average film. A bit of extra knowledge along with a touch of motivation for the kids is the basic idea behind the film. Nothing extra ordinary to look out for, from this one!

Movie Review Of "The Karate Kid"

Cast: Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan, Taraji Henson, Rongguang Yu

Cinema and the underdog have made a delightful couple. Cinema has ensured that the underdog mostly wins, while the underdog stories have usually ensured a good box office run.

In "The Karate Kid", we witness the rebirth of the ultimate American teenage underdog story.

Popular Detroit kid Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) finds himself in China after his mother's transfer. From day one he gets bullied and beaten by a kung-fu kid Li, till the maintenance man Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) comes to his rescue, menacing his opponents without even raising a punch.

When Han and Dre go to Li's Kung Fu class to tell the kids to lay off him, Li's instructor threatens them. Han finds a way out by telling him that Dre will fight his students, but in the open Kung Fu tournament.

Han now trains Dre, but frustrates him. It's only when Han demonstrates that kung-fu lies in everything that he begins to understand. As expected, the underdog wins, but not after getting over insurmountable odds on the way.

Director Harald Zward does not fail the popular original. He takes efforts in painting his characters with different shades of life and pain. What is, however, most interesting is the film's politics.

Throughout history Hollywood has excelled in bashing up America's enemy nations in cinema - Germany during the world wars and Russia during the Cold War. Right now, if there's any nation that is a threat, it is China.

"The Karate Kid" plays with America's anti-China sentiment by having an average black kid go to the heart of the China, and beat them in their own game. The kid in the original film was white. Here it is a black kid, symbolising the presidency of Barack Obama, who is determined to 'kick ass' of China.

Papa (Will) Smith and Mama (Jada Pinkett) Smith (producers of the film) have found their son's career the perfect 'silver- platter' start, unlike their own acting careers which is a true underdog story.

Sadly, you'll not see much of Chan's wonderful fight choreography that has made even the worst films enjoyable. Make no mistakes, it is a film for and of Jaden Smith, and so far in his three films, he has definitely not disappointed audiences.

Movie Review Of "Ek Second Jo Zindagi Badal De"

Having missed the press show of the film, it was a tough job on my part to convince the multiplex staff to play this film which had no audience but just myself because I had to review this film.

While they almost decided to cancel the show, they finally kept it on as two couples came in for the show, confident of seeking solace in the empty hall. Now if that, my dear friends, hasn’t given you any idea of how the film is! Well! Read on.

The film narrates the tale, rather the tales of Rashi (Manisha Koirala) who is engaged to the famous novelist Shantanu Rai (Moammar Rana). She is unaware of all the girls who were present in Shantanu’s life before.

Then destiny plays a game bringing Rashi face to face with a situation when she loses her job and misses her train, the very same day. Here on, the narrative structure suggests two parts.

One where she is unable to catch the train and what follows thereafter and second one where she manages to catch a train and meet Yuvraj (Jackie Shroff) - who is a fun loving and kind hearted person.

With a plot, that is blatantly copied from Gwyneth Paltrow starrer Sliding Doors (1998) which incidentally wasn’t much of a box office success, ESJZBD is a total bore.

Though the bottom line of the plot suggests that whatever is destined to happen, do happen but if we fight against it and turn around the incident it will occur accordingly. But nowhere does the screenplay matches up to that. Badly written, and badly directed the film is a total waste of your time.

Director Partho Ghosh, who had once delivered super hits like 100 Days, Agnisakshi and Dalaal has lost his form and this one shows that he has completely lost his technical finesse as well. One wonders who the target audience of this film is. Manisha Koirala may be making her comeback but audiences have lost interest in her already.

Manisha Koirala, in an author backed role, fails to evoke any interest due to her laid back style of acting. Jackie Shroff, appears disinterested too. Pakistani actor Moammar Rana is mechanical.

Nikita Anand looks hot and indulges in an uninhibited body display but displays very little of her acting talent. Rozza Catalano is just about okay but dances well in the item song. The producer of the film Suniel makes a blunder by casting himself in the film.

All in all, this is one of those films which shall be forgotten past its release day. Just avoid it!

Over Confidence Of Sonam Kapoor & Imran Khan's Love Story

One of the most awaited films by the youth across the country today is Karan Johar's, I Hate Luv Storys.

The film is generating a big buzz not only amongst the generation X but also among the trade circles, thanks to its hit music and youthful charm. To top it all it is a Dharma Productions film too.

Our trade sources inform us that UTV, which holds the film's worldwide distribution rights and is the co-producer of the film, has an offer of Rs. 65 million for the distribution rights of Mumbai circuit alone!

Now that is a quite a good price for a film whose lead pair hasn't seen success for a long time now. But despite that, confident, that more exciting offers would soon come its way, UTV has still not finalized the deal. The reason being, UTV expects to close the Mumbai deal for Rs. 80 million.

A trade pundit remarks, “Well that is pretty notable, considering that the film stars just Imraan Khan and Sonam Kapoor and is directed by a debutante director, Punit Malhotra.

One can call it either over confidence or full confidence. Imran's last two films Kidnap and Luck were box office duds and Sonam is yet to taste success.”

Twitter Turned The Biggest Heroes Into Zeros In A Second

Twitter has been the most open social networking site for common men as well as for the celebrities. No other platform has been as successful in bringing the Bollywood actors out in the open.

They speak their hearts out here and the fans love interacting with them virtually.

Big Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, veteran Anupam Kher and even the perfectionist Amir Khan are seen tweeting often.

On Tuesday, the micro blogging site Twitter remained non-functional for about two and a half hours. This disturbance overlapped with the launch of a new feature, called 'Twitter Places' which will allow the users to highlight tweets around a given location.

The worst sufferers were the Bollywood celebrities, who discovered that they had no followers after the incident. In her tweets, Sophie Choudhury said, “In a second, Twitter turned them into zeros from heroes.”

The long list of fans vanished and the celebrities lost their followers. Salman Khan showed his concern about them. The actor tweeted, “I hope that all my industry colleagues are okay with their so called shattered egos.”

The site has said that Twitter may face other technical problems too. But, it is trying its best to avoid the downtime during the World Cup matches.

In a blog post, Twitter spokesman Sean Garrett said, “Last October has been the worst month for Twitter from the perspective of stability and service. We are trying to offer greater stability when it receives a record number of tweets.”

He added, “Twitter will become more trustworthy in the coming days as we are making the necessary changes. We realize that there has been a negative impact on account of the disturbances and we are not happy with it. However, we look forward to the good things, ahead.”

Latino Hottie Shakira Is Rocking In Bollywood

After Akon for Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.1 it is now the Latin American sensation Shakira's turn to rock in a Bollywood song.

The number, a frenzied dance track to be filmed on South African model Candice Boucher for the film featuring the IPL owner and entrepreneur Sachin Joshi, will be recorded in the next couple of months.

Shakira is no stranger to India. She has performed live in Mumbai and other cities in 2007 and has repeatedly expressed a desire to be part of the Bollywood film industry.

Says a source, “Sachin Joshi who's helming and starring in the project is in touch with Shakira and she has agreed to sing for Salim-Sulaiman. The lyrics would in English but with a smattering of easy Hindi. It won't be a duet like the song Kylie Minogue sang on Tony D'Souza's Blue. It'd be a Shakira solo dhamaka.”

Composer Salim of Salim-Sulaiman confirms the happening. “It would be a very sensuous cabaret kind of song.”

Akshay Kumar Denied Wife Twinkle Khana's Dawood Ibrahim Connection

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has denied media reports that his wife Twinkle Khanna attended parties hosted by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in Dubai, terming them as "untrue".

"Woh khabar ek hi din ayi aur bandh ho gayi, na mere ghar par koi CBI ayi, na koi police ayi, aur na hi koi hawaldar aya. Agar isme koi sachayi hoti to koi na koi ghar aa hi gaya hota. (This news was there for a day only. If there was some truth in it, my house would have been raided.

But neither did the CBI nor any police or even a constable come to my house for any enquiry), " Akshay told reporters at a press meet Monday evening.

The actor added that he felt bothered by such reports, but was getting used to it.

"Such kind of gossip and news keep coming up and sometimes it does create difficulties, but slowly you get used to it," he said.

Anil's daughter Rhea who is producing, says, "When I first read the script of Aisha (based on the Jane Austen novel Emma), I realized every character has their individual style reflected through their characters.


Designer Pernia Qureshi and I together created mood boards for every character along with their signature colors, went to New York and shopped. We have also used contemporary European and Indian designers.

The film is about a group of friends seen through Aisha's perspective and coming into your own. It's about finding your heart and finding that special someone you can spend the rest the life with."



Getting the look right

Aisha Kapoor (Sonam Kapoor) is an upper class Delhi girl who loves to wear trendy outfits. She's stylish and feminine yet is very strong. Pernia Qureshi who has designed all the women in Aisha says, "Aisha is very trendy yet girlie and wears lots lace and pretty outfits with polka dots, ribbons, headbands and hats. Her style quotient is the Lady Dior handbag she carries throughout the film."



Arjun Barman (Abhay Deol) plays an investment banker. Designer Kunal Rawal says his brief was to style Abhay according to his profession.

"Abhay is a clotheshorse. His character is the perfect dresser. Strait-laced yet fun and casual but his outfits are slightly slicker. He's every girl's dream. We have given Abhay suits in mixed subtle colors, suits without belts, vintage tie clips, vintage YSL belts from New York in contrasting colors. Arjun loves his brown belts and shoes."

Katrina Kaif Wants Yash Chopra Type Love Story

She has scaled tremendous heights in her seven-year-old career, pushing the boundaries with her performance in "Raajneeti", but guess what Katrina Kaif wants to do now? A typical Yash Chopra-type love story.

"There are a lot of sides to me that are yet to be tapped. After having done 'Raajneeti', it isn't that I am going to do just female-oriented roles because the film has worked in my favour. I want to keep exploring and experimenting with characters and filmmakers, " Katrina told on phone from Spain.

"In fact, right now, I would love to have a one boy-one girl Yashji type of love story in hand or, say, play a loud, boisterous girl - something on the lines of Hemaji's role in 'Seeta Aur Geeta'. Those are fun and interesting roles too. Why limit myself?" asked the 25-year-old.

She is basking in the success of Prakash Jha's "Raajneeti" where she wowed the audiences as a young, madly-in-love girl who becomes a pawn in the game of politics. In the last 10 minutes of the film, she is seen playing a chief minister and manages to leave a strong impact on viewers.

So far the actress has managed to deliver hits. But Katrina is quick to counter the notion that she is a "formula" for filmmakers in search of a hit.

"I am no formula. It isn't true that a film becomes a hit because of me. I always put a script above my own role. I always see a film in totality and not just on the basis of my role. The film comes first, the role comes second for me. It's just that god has been very kind and my choices have mostly turned out be right, " said Katrina.

But doesn't she fear failure after such bundles of success?

"I don't get scared. It's wrong if people say a hit is expected of me all the time. Of course, everyone fears failure, but for me there is no added pressure to succeed. It is up to the audience to accept or reject a film and I am happy my audience has supported me so far, " she said in a confident tone.

Currently shooting in Spain for Zoya Akhtar's tentatively titled "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara", which also features Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol, Katrina is also looking forward to the release of Farah Khan's "Tees Maar Khan".

In Farah's film, she will be featured opposite Akshay Kumar, with whom she has doled out hits like "Namastey London", "Welcome" and "Singh Is Kinng".

After that, she is looking forward to stepping into the shoes of Priyanka Chopra for Karan Johar's much-awaited sequel to "Dostana".

Aamir Khan is in Europe meeting up with several international distribution houses to discuss his next three films -- Peepli Live, Dhobi Ghat and Delhi Belly.

Since they are films with different sensibilities, Khan wants a new channel to take his films to a new audience -- the kind that appreciates world cinema. He doesn't want to go through the usual Eros and UTV way, like most big Hindi films do.

Khan wants to take his films to a new audience in different corners of the world. And not just to the Hindi-speaking audience. He is also sitting in on the sub-titling of his films.

Making ties
A source close to the actor reveals, "He is tying up with the distributors on this trip. During his last holiday in Europe, he had his first round of meetings and now he is making it official and signing up with the distribution houses that impressed him. Aamir was thrilled by the response Peepli Live got at Sundance and other film festivals.

He feels that his next three productions should be screened at arthouse theatres that don't generally release Hindi films. He believes that there is a huge market for Indian movies to be seen on a global scene "

Aamir Khan Productions' next film is Peepli Live followed by Kiran Rao's Dhobi Ghaat and then Abhinav Deo's Delhi Belly.

Sources reveal that Aamir is in talks with international studios like Artificial Eye, Path ©, 20th Century Fox and Warner. Aamir confirms, "Yes, I am in Europe for work and am meeting a lot of company heads for my forthcoming films."

Amisha Patel Is 35 Years Old Now!

9th June is gone and the industry is still raving about Sonam Kapoor's birthday and Aisha's first look. Amidst all the hype, another Bollywood actor turned a year older. Ameesha Patel celebrated her 35th birthday yesterday. That seems to be overlooked by the media as Sonam is the flavour of the season.

Ameesha made her debut in 2000 with Kaho Na Pyar Hai and followed it up with Gadar. But somewhere down the line, things went awry. She was last seen in the song 'Lazy Lamhe' in Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic, where her hot avatar scorched the screens.

The pretty actress's next is Run Bhola Run with Govinda, due in August. She is also working on Chatur Singh Two Star. Perhaps she has figured out that 'out of sight' means 'out of mind' in the industry.

Anushka Sharma Was Not Kept Hold On Yash Raj

'Badmaash Company' has proven to be a good success at the box office and in the process of that happening; Anushka Sharma has now maintained her hit record.

After 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' where she scored a six with Shah Rukh Khan, she has hit a boundary with Shahid Kapoor now too. In the meanwhile, work has already begun with her next film with Yash Raj Films.

By working on her third film with the production house which is known for its three film contracts with both the actors and the directors, is she heaving a sigh of relief? After all now she would be free from her contract and can afford to pick and choose newer projects at her will?

"There was never any exclusivity contract to begin with so I don't know why everyone continues to ask me the same old question of 'being free from a contract'", says Anushka in an exasperated tone, "Puhleeze, doesn't the very fact that I started working in 'Patiala House' even before the release of 'Badmaash Company', clearly indicate that I wasn't kept on hold by anyone?"

But then Yash Raj Films hasn't quite repeated many of their heroines in the recent past whereas Anushka would be seen in as many as three films of theirs in a matter of two years. Doesn't that reflect on the fact that she has been doing films only with them?

"That shows their confidence in me and my comfort level with them", says Anushka, "Tomorrow, if they offer me more good films, I would do even seven films.

And in any case, I have also started working on 'Patiala House' with Akshay Kumar. In fact, I recently completed a schedule with them in London as well. So doesn't that state that there was no binding by Yash Raj Films when it came to me working with other film makers?"

So when are we looking at the completion of ''Shaadi Mubarak Ho', her third film with Yash Raj Films?

"First and foremost, the film is not called 'Shaadi Mubarak Ho'; it is still untitled", clarifies Anushka, "Yes, it is 90% complete and should release before the end of the year. If everything goes well, I would have three releases this year."

Smooch Scandal Is Conspiracy Aagainst Amoolya?

In the film industry, the term ‘casting couch’ is quite well known and such incidents often come up to the surface. The truth about these stories have never come out and people tend to forget them after some time.

Recently, the teenage Kannada actress has been trapped in a very awkward situation. An image of her showing smooching ace director Ratnaja is creating gossips around the Kannada film industry.

The director Ratnaja also challenged that image saying it was modified digitally. His last film starring Amoolya, was a hit. He said, “Someone tried to blackmail me two weeks back claiming to possess such an image. But, I ignored it as I knew that I have never done something like this.

Amoolya became a popular actress just after the release of her debut film Cheluvina Chittaara by S Narayan. Thereafter, she appeared in several hit films like Prakash Rai’s Nanoo, Nanna Kanasu and Premism.

However, the actress is not having a good time on the personal front since last year, when she lost her father. Later, she had to complain against a stalker and crazy fans irked her by painting her house with cheap graffiti.

Amoolya, has probably broken down in the face of such incidents, as she said, “Sometimes, I think of leaving this industry.”

The problem does not end here as the blackmailer has claimed to have a video of her and the director getting intimate.

Last November, Ratnaja was engaged to be married to the sister-in-law of a well-known film editor. But the engagement was broken off, which has added spice to the speculation.

The latest incident of wardrobe malfunction occurred during the IIFA award ceremony held in Colombo this year. This time, it was the turn of the sizzling beauty, Lara Dutta, to bear the brunt of wardrobe malfunction.

Dressed in a beautiful low cut golden dress, Lara was present on the stage for the launch of a musical reality show of which she was the judge. While addressing the gathering, the strap of her dress suddenly snapped.
